A Fresh Start

Well, here goes.  I am blogging again after a long hiatus.  I previously blogged on Xanga, but had grown frustrated with trying to make it look the way I wanted.  As it appears that Xanga will be shutting down, I decided to try again- here!

I live in Alaska with my husband and five children.  We are expecting number six in early Dec.  This is the BEST time of year in Alaska- summer!  We are having a phenomenal June, although I missed much of it because I was traveling with four of the kids.  We are having warm sunny days and there is green all around. I love it!

The aforementioned trip was to WA.  My parents live in eastern WA, and my sister lives in western WA.  We spent time in both places.  The main reason for the trip was my baby brother's high school graduation.

While we were at my sister's, we had the chance to watch her husband jump out of a helicopter (he's in the Army).

It was really cool!

On our trip we also went to an amusement/water park, the zoo, a lake, and Seattle (including the Space Needle).  We spent time visiting with my husband's extended family and made several trips to the park in the town where my parents live- the kids loved playing in the creek!

The trip was lots of fun, but it is good to be home.  We are enjoying the bounty of Alaska- halibut, salmon, shrimp, rock fish, and of course moose and caribou from last year's hunting trips.  Last night I marinated shrimp and halibut and then made kabobs.  It was so good!

Well, this is it for my first entry.  I had a lot more pictures, but they seemed to upload very slowly.  Hoping that I get the hang of this and am able to keep up with it.  I need to find out if I can upload pics from my phone to here.

Have a blessed day!

I am glad they had a safe jump!

The graduation looks fun. Just a nice time to be with family it appears!
